Parallelogram mount !

I love to use binoculars, and have many from Oberwerk. I need to call them up as my 25x100 and 20x80’s need some servicing.
My favorites right now are my Explore Scientific BT-120’s. These are “giant” binoculars. I also love the parallelogram style of mount, but had to find one big enough for these monsters.

I ended up purchasing this mount from Italy, which is “perfect” for giant binoculars. The Geoptic Pantograph Binoplus:

This unique parallelogram mount perfectly balances these Giant Binoculars.

I got started by “borrowing” my dad’s binoculars, when I was about 12. I used them on the moon and some star clusters until I could afford to buy my own telescope. Now I have three telescopes and two pairs of binoculars.

My neck is way too messed up to be doing that .

You just need to get Binoculars that have 45 or 90 degree viewing. Usually only giant binoculars have that…

I use my Oberwerk 20x80s as my grab and go “scope”. I have zero complaints with them

An old observing buddy of mine had a set of those on a parallelogram mount . So cool for wide field viewing .
