Everyone has a story about how they became interested in astronomy. For some it was seeing the Milky Way for the first time, while others were inspired by a telescope, a space mission, or a documentary.
What was the moment that got you interested in astronomy, and what keeps you exploring the night sky today?
There was no real one moment. All my life there has been an interest in it. Sagan’s Cosmos series probably was the single biggest influence in my teenage years. Fast foward 40 years it was my wifes comment “I wish I could see Saturn” that prompted the first telescope purchase. As to what keeps me going, just being out under the sky and seeing cool stuff is enough
Obviously the vastness of space and brighter stars, galaxies and all other space objects through Telescope that made me interested in Astronomy.
