Vintage Scopes Thread

Post photos of your vintage scopes here .
Here’s mine …

It’s a 60mm Tasco made by Royal Astro in Japan .
After much research and some help from other vintage scope enthusiasts , I’ve got it nailed down to a 1958 production .

Here’s a Tasco 50mm on an alt az table top tripod . This one was made by Towa in Japan . It’s most likely from the mid ‘60’s …

Well since Orion is gone and my main scopes have their name on them, are they considered vintage or collectors items lol

It’s sad what happened there .
No more Meade , no more Orion .
Hopefully somebody brings those lines back .

Yeah what happened with them is a shame. A lot of my stuff has the Orion brand name on it. I dont know if its important to bring back Orion, but if someone could bring back Meade and Coronado that would be awesome. I think that Orions demise was inevitable. They were overpriced because they slapped their name on it. The customer service department needed real help. They were ill equipped to handle Meade and as a result we lost them both.

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone revives Meade. My 10” is Parks, which is basically a revived Cave Astrola. I wish someone would make their tubes again,
