I know Venus isn’t an appealing planet to view but it was my first image I could capture after all the bad weather we have been having taken with celestron 6SE stacked in autostakert, registax
and green removal in setti even though it is a round ball happy with my collimation and the use of my new EAA focuser

Is it focused?.
It seems out of focus. At least, for me.
Anyway, nice pic for the first image.
In next days, i’ll post my image of Venus to share.

Hi:
Thanks.
My equipment is basic, similar to your and I don’t use any electronic focuser.
For next image of Venus, you should try to image It using the native focal length or a Barlow lens.
I don’t consider myself a very good astroimager.
Yeah, this hobby might be expensive but It depends on everyone and his targets.
The importante thing in this hobby is to know how to get the most out of your current equipment, but step by step.

One of these days i am going to try and throw the 16 inch at Venus. I will stick a filter on it to tame it down a bit and see what pops up
