Think about what Newton or Galileo would say looking through one if normal run of the mill Chinese scopes. How many times better is our image now compared to what they had.

It was at a star party some years ago . Probably back in 2007 / 2008 .

If Newton saw your 16 dob! “Oh, who made this so big?” Really, if they didn’t discover those, we won’t have these types of telescopes, sometimes we will have different types of scopes.

I have always thought that if we could bring Galileo and Newton forward in time they would easily recognize their creations. Now a radio telescope, that would blow their minds. I would tell Newton, sure its a fairly good sized scope, but big … There are a lot bigger scopes then mine
