It might be time to consider another eyepiece

So after my last session out I am now giving real consideration to buying a Astro Tech 4.8mm 100 degree eyepiece for my 16 inch. This would give me 375x or 412x if you add in the mag from the coma corrector. The last session out i am pretty sure I could have actually got it to focus, which would have been amazing as i usually cant get past 200x. I do have a 4.5mm 82 degree eyepiece, but in the 16 inch I prefer 100 degree eyepieces. I fully acknowledge that it would be a rarely used eyepiece, but i am starting to wonder if it is better to have it on hand for that one or two nights a year i can actually use it. What’s everyone think?

So shortly after the initial post I did drop the cash for a AT 4.8mm 100 degree eyepiece. In the 16 inch i will get to use it from time to time, as the skies allow. So far i have used it once on the Hercules Cluster…it gives you an all new definition of what in your face means.
