Hello. Early on, I made the suggestion that perhaps we should have a category for those readers interested in education and outreach. I never heard back from the organizers/webmaster, although a number of people seconded the motion.
Is there any formal way of suggesting categories. I think you need more topics and some more good discussions to bring life to the Forum.

Well,you started a thread on it right here. I have been doing astronomy outreach since 1998. Both with amateur astronomy clubs club and also with Mt. WIlson Observatory and for JPL/NASA. It is the primary use for my telescopes.
You are right, that you can start a thread. But I was suggesting an ongoing category that would be listed in the menu at left.
Things in the menu get started when a member starts one .

My understanding is that the team wanted the Categories to remain as general as possible, so outreach could technically fall under science. However, I see how it could also get lost within that larger label. I can’t guarantee it will be added, but I will suggest your addition!
