My favorite DSO is M31 aka Andromeda Because It is coming to merge with our galaxy, Most interesting thing is I can see it even in minimum fog or cloudy weather from my location. Has anyone Checked that, it is amazing that it is getting Brighter overtime, but I was not expecting that many increases in brightness.

In my lifetime it has gotten dimmer thanks to light pollution. I can usually see it naked eye, but sometimes i have to work for it.

No really favorite for me.
Easier to say M42, because it was what grabbed me and I was hooked.
I still hold The Great Orion Nebula as my demise into the Astro poorhouse.
