I researched the best astronomy observing chair to find the perfect option for comfortable stargazing, telescope observing and long nights under the stars. I have looked at those chairs and they have never struck me as something that would be stable on uneven ground. I have a buddy who had a starbound chair and he junked it as it was not particularly stable and it came out from under him.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Stability is definitely something I’m considering, especially when observing outdoors on uneven surfaces. I was mainly looking at these options because of the comfort and height adjustment for longer sessions.
Have you found any observing chair that handles uneven ground better while still staying comfortable for long viewing sessions?

I made one out of wood that is fully adjustable for height. I dont use it often, usually just with the refractor. I have it just in case i decide to spend a lot of time on a target. Other then that i prefer to stand.

Haven’t tried it but both of the chairs looks similar to my opinion
