@They are definitely on the pricey side. Probably around 300 bucks once you do all the math converting back and forth and getting rid of the VAT. You are right, inflation is bad, but it is nowhere close to what it was back in the 70s.
I just know that everything is 50% more now than it was 4 years ago . Gas is $3.50 now a gallon when it was $1.99 a galling pre Biden . Groceries, same thing . We wonât even talk about egg prices which went up 400% . Glad I rarely eat them .
@Starrancher i am in the middle of a 1500 mile road trip, gas down south is definitely cheaper then back home. Groceries are definitely up across the board. I am hoping things start coming down a bit. I dont know where eggs are now, maybe i should look
Eggs were $1.99 a dozen in January of 2020 . They were up to $8.00 a dozen in January of 2024 .
@Starrancher i dont know that they ever got that high here.
They are still $6.00 a dozen at our local stores as of two weeks ago .
@Starrancher so i just looked at egg prices, depending on the brand you buy, the are 4 to 6 bucks a dozen. Thats about double the normal price.
Well , at least theyâve come down from the 8 bucks they were earlier this year .
@Starrancher I donât think they were ever that high here
Some places went even higher than that . I saw reports of 20 and even 12 bucks a dozen . It wasnât at that peak for long but itâs sat at 8 bucks for a long time out here . At least 6 to 8 months .
